One step behind…

Tonight is the night for generous donations.

Thinking of it, remember that Norway once was in the receiving end of such charity.

In 1947, after two devastating world wars, Norway was a country- and Europa was a continent in ruin. During a six week trip, the American minister of foreign affairs George Marshall realised that Europa would never get back on its feet without any form of financial support. Hence he implemented the economical, industrial and educational program known as the Marshall plan (formally the European Recovery Program)

Though there were some strings attached (not a bad idea!), it was at the time for most parts presented and perceived as charity.

So tonight, whether you are feeling selfish or charitable, just give, give, give.

You never know when those table’s are going to turn again!
