One step behind…

Hey, where are you going dressed like that?

The commercial crusades breaking into everything these days, can lead to some quite interesting mix-up of different people.

I was standing by a tree, not minding my own business. Taking pictures of people walking by…when something slightly interesting happened.

After a hustle-bustle transit of the vibrant Mood`s couplet. Followed by a noteworthy increase of journalistic activity…

All of a sudden, a middle aged nice-looking man sitting on a bench with his wife (I presume) next to me asked. “Who are those boys in fancy plaid clothing just passing by. Are they famous or something…are they celebrities?”

I took a brief look at their ensèmblè, classy and west-edge luxurious. Playing it rich, but most likely not holding any excessive fortune. Whenever they can join the cult of rich & fame…they do, nice people. Probably from…..Montebello!

Anyway, his wife was busy chatting on a cellphone. He seemed a bit bored and confused, maybe just looking for some trivial conversation.

I could not decide right away whether he asked just to socialize, or because he really didn’t know.

The aimlessness surrounding them, lead me to believe that they just didn’t know who they were. So I told him, with the pitch of my voice slight raised, trying to smite them with some enthusiasm…. “They are the ones who’s show you are here to watch, its the DESIGNERS, its Moods of Norway!!!”

I got a slight “Oh…” in reply. Then there was nothing…

To clear things up, I asked if maybe they were waiting for someone, or…? And left the question hanging in the air.

He picked it up, and said that he really didn’t know why he was there. Then he points towards a silvery-gray spotless car, mint condition, and says its because of Mercedes (sponsor of the event) and something irrelevant that I don’t get… He is apparently a good customer, so the car company decided to send them off to some edgy freak fashion show. (Or maybe a cosy evening at the Norwegian historical museum, with Ole Bull?)

The confused spousal pair seemed kind of thrown to the wolves…not panicking in any way, but definitely out of their familiar and safe little pond.

On the bright side, now at least they would have something fierce and fashionable to tell their brilliant-eccentric-show-impoverished neighbours.
