His recent book release makes an excellent excuse to take a detour of the beaten literary track, into the fascinating world of Nubian language. An old spoken-only language with no official dictionary….

To preserve this ancient language. Under the word Thomas which also is a Nubian name (according to my Sudanian friend), lets put a picture of the previously mentioned poet. He sure looks the part. Beautiful Boy or Tho = beautiful, mas=son.  

And about the book? It will be read…
