One step behind…

The great Icicle hunt

February 21st, 2009 by admin

Winters major snowfalls have lead to formation of massive icicles on buildings all around town.

Threatening to fall on to the head of innocent passerbys. Like coconuts from an arctic palm tree.

These two Monster icicles were trapped by everyday heroes Bjørn Thomas Andreassen and Didrik Mrits Hallstrøm. Nice catch…

If you see one dangerous ice-spike, don’t hesitate to clear the area and alert the media (dagbladet) at mms 2400, e-mail 2400@db.no or phone nb. 24 00 00 00.

    hey
it’s not the snow that has led to massive ice-spikes around in oslo. it’s bad insulation. this is proof that most of the buildings in oslo let the heat out for the birds.
ice-spikes comes only from roofs that has bad insulation. good insulated roofs, has no ice-spikes.
the heat goes stright trough, and melts the snow, that runs down, and finally you got the ice-spike. yepp
