VG vs. Dagbladet III

The battle of the online news continues.

September 1st, Dagbladet aka db.no presented this brand new layout.

As a concept, great, looks much cleaner, on the not so bright side; the cillit bang® -pink add covering the entire backspace is lowering the overall news-perception of the online paper, not to mention the awfull red header, breaking in to and color crashingwith the all ready distasteful cillit bang® -pink background.

Well, at least it caught my attention, though in near future, it would not be wrong to demand a certain level of typographical coordination prior publishing.

Dagbladets arch nemesis VG on the other hand, reported no groundbreaking changes this first day of autumn. 

Then suddenly, VG fell victim to a très chic technical error. Or maybe the surprise cillit bang® coated db.no, shifted lots of readers to VG instead leading to a late September 1st server overload.

Finally awsome, right down to the cracked screen, looking at the super sweet missing rascal kittens found safely in the server room.

Yeah, that’s how its done!
